Fourth Monkey offer of support ALRA Staff & Students

Fourth Monkey offer of support ALRA Staff & Students

Following on from the sad news regarding the closure of ALRA and as part of the drama school community, we at Fourth Monkey remain keen to offer help and support to all those affected by this situation.

In the interests of support and collaboration and due to so many of us having peers or associates there, the whole Fourth Monkey community, from our core staff to the student body are keen to offer as much assistance as we are able to those directly impacted by the recent events at ALRA. We hope we are able to assist in some small way at what can only be a very distressing time for those concerned.

Steve Green

Artistic Director

As confirmation of the official training provision from Rose Bruford emerged, we adjusted our offers with the aim to provide space, options, ongoing support and hopefully a little sense of stability and community once again for all of everyone affected.

Friday 22 April
Open House for ALRA Students

We will open our doors to the Monkey House for you all. There will be classes held throughout the day for those who wish to step back into a studio and feel enthused by training once more.

For everyone else, we invite you to join a morning class and then, we will then leave the space to you for the rest of the day, so you can just be together, do some of your own work or just listen and support each other in a shared space.

There will be limited capacity so please do register for a place.

Friday 29 April
Free Weekly Technique Classes for ALRA Students

From Friday 29 April, for an initial 6 week period, a weekly Friday evening class will be held between 6pm & 8pm by some of our core Fourth Monkey practitioners who are giving their time free of charge. For those who wish to experience some new technique classes while enabling you to get back into a studio and working as actors.

There will be limited capacity so please do register for a place.

Support for Offer Holders to attend ALRA in 2022

Our auditions remain open and are always free as part of our commitment to making professional training accessible to all. If you wish to audition for us, please register for an audition.

You can register for an exclusive ALRA Experiential Open Day on Friday 22 April at Fourth Monkey to see if our courses and training are right for you as part of this process.

Support for ALRA Year 1 & 2 Students

As an alternative offer of training should you wish to explore it, we invite you to our exclusive ALRA Experiential Open Day on Friday 22 April to see if our courses and training are of interest to you should you wish to transfer onto our accelerated two year BA (Hons) Acting degree, which would enable you to complete your training within three years as originally planned.

Support for ALRA Year 3 Students

For all final year students, we can offer dedicated studio space and time for showcase rehearsals (subject to availability) and a space to use our facilities to phone and email industry invites and indeed to follow up on any interest this may garner for you post showcase.
