The Peculiar Tale of Pablo Picasso & The Mona Lisa

The Peculiar Tale of Pablo Picasso & The Mona Lisa

Based loosely on the true events surrounding the theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre in 1911, for which Picasso and his good friend, the poet Guillaume Apollinaire were arrested and questioned under suspicion of committing the theft, writer Steven Green has constructed a surreal and absurd farce through the lens of Picasso’s work. The Peculiar Tale explores his life and times in Paris amidst the artistic glitterati of the early 20th Century and the mayhem that ensued following his arrest in connection to one of the world’s most precious artifacts.
