Classical Season Announcement 2014-15

The new year promises to be an exciting one for Fourth Monkey with reimagined work from Shakespeare and his Elizabethan contemporary Christopher Marlowe on the menu for our One Year and Two Year Rep students respectively. A season of Shakespeare’s comedies, Much Ado about Nothing, As You Like It and A Midsummer Nights Dream go into rehearsals in the new year under the exciting guidance of directors Ricky Dukes, Stephen Sobal and Mark Curtis for an inspiring site-specific season at Trinity Buoy Wharf in April. Rehearsing alongside this will be Marlowe’s Tamburlaine The Great part I & II under the co-direction of the company’s artistic director Steven Green and associate Sarah Case. This production marks the first of two London showcase seasons from the graduating Two Year Rep company at Jacksons Lane.
Tamburlaine will be performed at Jacksons Lane Theatre between 14-21st March and Shakesperes’ comedies season will be at the site specific Trinity Buoy Wharf, 11th-25th April
In addition to the above our graduate ensemble company, currently on tour with their critically acclaimed Elephant Man return to London for a three week run at the Brockley Jack. This production has been touring nationally since October 2014 and continues beyond the London run until the end of March, taking in Canterbury, Wolverhampton, Hereford and Dorchester.
